Math Stations, Flashlight Friday, and Wonder

We are practicing our math fact fluency using Xtra Math.
This is an app your child can use at home for a few minutes a day.

We practiced telling a math story using unifix cubes.
Our goal was to have the story match the number of cubes and at the end state the addition equation for the math story. We posted our stories on Seesaw!

Our ENTIRE class brought in their library books this week!
I can't wait to see what will happen the next time we all remember!

We completed interviews with our 5th grade buddies!
We will be using the information to help us with our project this week.
It is great to see the connections we are making with our buddies.

What do you wonder?
We learned that scientists ask a lot of questions about the world around them.
We went out to the courtyard outside our room to explore and wonder.

We LOVE Flashlight Friday!
We take turns reading with a buddy from books in our bucket.
As we read, we are working on keeping a good pace, speaking clearly, and reading with great expression!

In Writer's Workshop, we are working on going back and adding more details to our stories.
Today we read our work to a friend. The friend helped give feedback on
where to possibly add more details so the story makes more sense to the reader.

During one of our math stations, students selected two cuisenaire rods. Then, they had to fill in the number bond (part-part-whole) and include an addition sentence.
We added our pictures of our work on Seesaw.
