We have a class plus/delta that we use each day to discuss what went well
and what we need to work on. Last week we created our very own plus/deltas
so we can work on our goals.
We did our first Math Talk!
Students are learning how to estimate and how to explain their thinking.
We are also working on building our argumentation with saying things like "I agree with __ because when I did __ I got the same answer" or "I had a different idea than ___. My idea is ___."
We met our 5th Grade Buddies from Jorjorian and Paster.
Today we discovered what we have in common with our 5th grade buddies.
We did our first Scholastic News with a buddy about Good Citizens.
Mrs. Avdoian came to teach us about the Zones of Regulation.
When we are in the green zone, we are ready to learn!
We did a matching activity where we looked at different emotions
and had to place it in the right colored zone.
We had our first "Book Shopping" experience!
We selected books for our buckets for when we do our buddy or independent reading.
We had our first Flashlight Friday!

When we show acts of kindness or get compliments from others around Kipling, we get to add poof balls to our jar. Each time we fill our jar, we will color in a letter on our Kindness sign on the window. We chose to celebrate our accomplishment with Pajama Day on Tuesday!
