Oh my... it has been a long time!

We are working on going back in the text to find the evidence for the comprehension questions.
We LOVE highlighters!

We are taking what we know about "Book of Knowledge" from Article a Day
and applying it to our own non-fiction reading.
We are working on trying to remember at least four pieces of information from non-fiction books.

We are sharing what we learned with a partner.

Our class has been working hard on reading and following directions
after we learn from Mrs. C in our Geography lessons.

We are learning how the design of trees can help us create an umbrella that
doesn't blow over in the wind.

We are explaining to our families what we discovered after our Science lesson.

We enjoyed watching the 4th grade music show!

Our leader of the week is reading her book to the class.

We continue to become non-fiction experts as we try to remember at least four facts from our non-fiction books.

We always enjoy having guest readers visit our class!

The 3rd graders at Kipling just finished their non-fiction writing unit.
They came down to our room to share their final projects!

We taught Mrs. Comitor's class how to use some of our robotics.

Our 5th grade buddies came down to work on a #kiplingcares project to
spread kindness around Deerfield!

Our leader is sharing his talent.
I believe he conquered 40 jumping jacks! WOW!

We began our snowman project that is now hanging above our lockers in the hallway.
We had to determine if we were using warm or cool colors.
Then, we had to figure out which two colors we were using for our project.

We filled our put up jar and got to color in our final "S" for KINDNESS!

We also filled in our final letter for lining up quietly without needing a countdown to quiet!

Flashlight Friday took on a new meaning as we practiced our math facts with flashlights.
We simply ran out of time in the morning!

Our guest reader came in to read some funny stories to the class!

We enjoyed another round of lunch with the teacher!
I always enjoy the great conversation and learning more about the class.

The Choraliers from Deerfield High School came to visit and spread some holiday cheer!

The 1st grade philanthropy project focused on spreading cheer and
helping those in need at the local food pantry.

Thank you so very much for your donations!

I am looking forward to seeing everyone back at school next week!
