Halloween, Card Making, Lunch with Mrs. C, and Scratch Jr.

Our leader is sharing her poster with the class.

She is sharing her pictures with our class.

We forgot to color in our letter for filling up our Put Up Jar.
It is definitely a win-win when we spread kindness around Kipling!

We had lunch with Mrs. C on Wednesday and Friday.
There was a lot of conversation about our favorite and least favorite Halloween candy!

Our leader is reading a book to the class.

Ms. Schippers came in to read a Halloween story to the class on Thursday!
We love having guest readers!

We worked on creating cards for children in hospitals.
We determined that it is a win-win because we are helping to cheer up others and it makes us feel good in the process!

Thank you Mr. Chin, Mrs.  Bankier, Mrs. Ackerson, and Mrs. Atlas for coming in to help!

Happy Halloween!

We are getting ready for the parade!

Mrs. Lipson and Mrs. Osberg came in for the afternoon party.
We played Halloween BINGO and made a mask.

We determined a focus area for our writing.
What do you want to work on?

Mrs. Johnson's class came in to work on a coding activity with Scratch Jr.
Be sure to have your child show you how it works!

Verbs, Camouflage, and Breakout EDU!

We learned that verbs are action words.
When we use verbs in the present tense, we add -ing to the end of the word.
We made PicCollages with a partner and showcased our writing of -ing words.
We are learning that if there is one vowel and one consonant after the vowel we have to double the consonant before adding the suffix.
We also learned that we just add the -ing for two vowels and one consonant after the vowel.

We like playing the math games on Big Ideas!

We are using our tools to help us solve and then confirm our answers.

We are on the hunt for moths. Can you find the moths that are camouflaged?

We made our own moths to hide around the room.
Mrs. C can only find a few of them!

Our guest reader, Mr. Kosner, came in to read to the class today.
We learned that it is more important to have fun and to play a game that you can be proud of!

Mrs. Galanis came over for our Treasure Hunt celebration.
She worked with Mrs. C to help the class solve a Breakout EDU.
We had to use problem solving skills to figure out the different clues to unlock four locks for the box!

Both teams broke out!!!!!

One of my favorite quotes of the day...
"My brain grew so much I think it is going to blow up!"
